Modesto City Schools - Bilingual Education Campaign

The Challenge

Modesto City Schools needed a better way to help multilingual families understand the college and career pathways available to students and how those opportunities could prepare them for life after high school.

While valuable programs already existed, many families faced barriers in navigating complex academic information and understanding the options available to support their students’ futures.

Approach

SociosPR approached the project through the lens of accessibility and cultural clarity, ensuring college and career pathway information could be understood by multilingual families navigating important decisions about their students’ futures.

Supporting the district’s Map Your Mission framework and student-centered initiative, the work focused on transcreation and visual storytelling to make educational content feel clear, approachable, and culturally relevant for both English and Spanish-speaking audiences.

What we activated

SociosPR oversaw and project-managed the development of bilingual graphic design assets and a multilingual animation video series supporting Modesto City Schools’ Map Your Mission pathway framework.

The team led the Spanish transcreation of scripts and graphic copy while also providing the Spanish voiceover for the animated videos to ensure messaging felt authentic, culturally clear, and accessible for Spanish-speaking families.

SociosPR also managed production timelines and creative workflows to maintain consistency and alignment throughout the project.

In total, the work included 36 video assets, including English, Spanish, English closed-captioned, and Spanish closed-captioned versions across eight pathway videos and one overall video.

Results

The project helped make college and career pathway information more accessible and easier to understand for multilingual families across Modesto City Schools as students prepared to select classes and explore future educational opportunities.

In addition to supporting immediate outreach efforts, the district now has a library of bilingual graphic assets and multilingual videos that can continue supporting future communications and student engagement efforts.
